Maps for two road projects
There are two local road projects beginning soon. The first we covered last month. A stretch of CR-229 from SR-44 to CR-462 will be closed for reconstruction. A detour will open for this area at the end of October. The second project involves a two-block stretch of Stokes Street in Coleman. An asphalt overlay is set to begin on Monday and will last approximately two weeks. Stokes Street will be closed from CR-521 to US-301. This project will be finished in time for Sumter County Fire and EMS to return to Station 46 to assume its new area of responsibilities.
